Another day in Melbourne, another opportunity to hit some markets. With the wee bro living in Windsor, the Prahan Markets are usual stop. Just 15 minutes up the road, we tend to stroll on up for all things grocery-like. I really needed to learn to venture out more and get some variety in my Melbourne market shopping. Thankfully, the relative-newliweds took us out of our comfort zone for a change to mix up our market repertoire.

Melbourne Part 1: The Yarra Valley

You know what I love about Melbourne? Apart from the art and the shopping and the achingly hip graffitied laneways? And apart from the coffee and markets and restaurants and bars with cool names like Borsch, Vodka & Tears? It’s the fact that I can drive to both wine country AND snow country in 45 minutes and 2 hrs respectively. The Beard and I partook in one of these out-of-town adventures whilst visiting Melbourne this long weekend and it didn’t involve strapping a snowboard to our feet. But a day trip to the Yarra Valley was more than a worthy consolation prize. Trips to Melbourne to visit my wee bro and his wife are always filled with food and this long weekend was no exception.
